For consuming poisonous mushrooms | Girl dies and her family taken to “intensive care” in Idlib

Idlib province: SOHR activists have reported that a girl died and her family was taken to the hospital to receive proper medication in “intensive care”, after consuming a poisonous mushrooms in Khirbat Al-Joz camp in western Idlib countryside.

Many displaced civilians in displacement camps in the Syrian north depend on mushrooms as a source of nutrition or sell mushrooms in markets during winter, which makes it difficult to differentiate between poisonous wild mushrooms and non-poisonous mushrooms.

SOHR activists reported that the death toll of people ate poisonous mushrooms in Abu Wahl village in Al-Raqqah countryside had risen to 16, and they were as follows:
— Ten males aged seven to 40.
— Six females aged six to 22.
Meanwhile, eight persons were in the hospital, one of whom was in critical condition, and seven were in stable condition.
