After refusing to rent his farm | “National Defence” members arrest civilian and his son in Rif Dimashq

Damascus province: SOHR activists have reported that “National Defence” members arrested a civilian and his son after storming his farm, where he works near Zakiyah town in western Rif Dimashq for “planting IEDs and landmines in agricultural lands in the area adjacent to their headquarters at the outskirts of the town. They were taken to an unknown destination without knowing their fate.

According to reliable SOHR sources, the civilian refused to sell his land to “National Defence” members, where the land is about 13 hectares and the members wanted to turn the farm into a camp for their forces, where they stormed the farm while the civilian and his son were in the farm, and they were arrested for false accusations.

This comes in light of the ongoing arbitrary arrests against civilians by members of the regime’s security in different areas of Syria.

The militias take advantage of the agricultural lands in Damascus and its countryside, which belongs to civilians, to turn the lands into military headquarters and warehouses to store weapons and ammunitions.

SOHR activists reported that members of the “Military Security” arrested a civilian in Bada town in Al-Qalmon Al-Gharby area in Rif Dimashq, after storming his house and took him to an unknown destination, without knowing the reasons.
