IED explosion | Unidentified gunmen target Al-Malha oil well in Deir Ezzor

Deir Ezzor province: unidentified people detonated an IED inside “Al-Malha oil well” in Abo Khashab desert northern of Deir Ezzor, causing material damages. However, no casualties have been reported.

It is worth noting that Al-Bakara Tribe invest in the well, and provide SDF a percentage of the profits.

On September 23, SOHR activists monitored the re-operating of Al-Halabah oil well in Deir Ezzor countryside after maintenance operations were completed.
The oil well is located in Izbat Murat area, near the frontline between SDF-controlled areas and regime-held areas, and is one kilometre away from Regime-held areas.
The oil well has a production capacity of 1,500 barrels per day, as oil will be pumped into Ezbet oil field in the northern countryside of Deir Ezzor.
On August 25, SOHR sources reported that residents of Al-Izbah seized Al-Jabr oil well in Deir Ezzor countryside, after clashes with an SDF patrol. The well is located in Al-Izbah area in the northern countryside of Deir Ezzor and was operating with a production capacity of 2,000 barrels of crude oil per day.
