Days after Turkish military escalation | Tense calm continues for 15th day in row in northern and eastern Syria

For the 15th consecutive day, cautious calm continues in all areas of northern and eastern Syria. The intensive shelling and attacks by Turkish forces on the areas and countryside of Aleppo, Al-Raqqah and Al-Hasakah, except for some rocket shells, have declined dramatically on the frontlines.

All frontlines have seen complete calm as the exchange of shelling between SDF and Turkish forces have stopped.

It is worth noting that relative and tense calm began on November 28, days after the violent escalation of ground and aerial bombardment by Turkish forces on several areas.

In the early hours of Monday morning, Turkish forces and their proxy factions fired heavy artillery shells on the vicinity of Tel Rifaat, Al-Sheikh Issa, Harbel in the northern countryside of Aleppo and Abyan village in Sherawa district of Afrin countryside. This coincides with an intensive flight by Russian warplanes over the area.
