Under supervision of experts | Air Force Intelligence conduct exercises to members in Damascus

Damascus province: SOHR activists have reported that military experts of Al-Hashd Al-Shaaby militias reached Al-Maza Military Airport, to conduct military exercises to regime soldiers near the airport.

According to reliable SOHR sources, four Iraqi experts reached the airport in two armoured vehicles (Mitsubishi Pick Up L200) with two 4×4 Toyota cars mounted by machineguns.

The exercises started under orders of the Air Force Intelligence inside one of their camps near Al-Maza Military Airport on the side of Dariyah city.

According to sources, the period of the exercise is 40-55 consecutive days, and will include military exercises for using snipers and heavy machineguns, in addition to learning how to dismantle, install and repair them.

On November 24 SOHR sources reported that regime forces and Iranian militias present at the outskirts of the 55 kilometre de-confliction zone, where Al-Tanf base is located, conducted night joint exercises with heavy weapons to raise the fighting readability of their members.

On October 5, SOHR activists reported loud explosions in Palmyra area in the eastern countryside of Homs, because of drills for Iranian-backed military formations, under supervision by Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) and the Lebanese Hezbollah, in Palmyra military airbase. According to SOHR sources, these drills were designed to train Iranian-backed militiamen on the use of short and medium-range Iranian-made missiles on inanimate targets in the Syrian desert and Palmyra military airbase.
