Despite being available for regime and Iranian forces | Fuel crisis escalates and fuel stations suspended in Deir Ezzor

Areas held by regime forces and militias in Deir Ezzor city witnessed complete paralysis of movement in streets and markets, with works of employees, civilians and school students being disrupted due to lack of fuels that are one of life necessities for civilians, in addition to lack of heating diesel in light of the cold weather during winter, amid neglection by the regime’s government to the conditions of civilians in regime-held areas.

SOHR camera showed, through a tour in streets of the city, paralysis of most aspects of life and almost complete lack of cars in streets, and showed suspension of fuel stations in the city for failure of fuels to reach these stations.

With the fuel crisis in the city, civilians noticed that members and commanders of Iranian militias and regime forces were not affected by the crisis, where they move with their cars in their areas in Deir Ezzor city. Meanwhile, many accuse the war merchants of “monopolizing large quantities of fuel to sell them later at double the prices.”

Civilians living in regime-held areas, including the Syrian capital Damascus, suffer several crises such as lack of fuels, power cuts and the collapse of the value of the Syrian Lira against the USD, in light of inability of the regime to save the situation.
