Child abandonment | Body of baby girl found in Afrin countryside

Aleppo province: The residents have found the body of a newborn girl with bruising marks on Qastal Jendo road in Sharan district in Afrin countryside, north of Aleppo. The identity of the perpetrator remains unknown so far.

This comes in light of the growing phenomenon of child abandonment across Syria due to illegal relationships and many other reasons.

On December 17, SOHR activists reported that the residents found an abandoned newborn baby dumped in front of a mosque in Kabir Kabir village in the southern countryside of Manbij, in SDF-held areas, at that dawn.
