Attempted assa-ssination | Dr-ug dealer injured in Nawa city amid rampant security chaos

Daraa province: Unidentified gunmen shot a drug dealer in the city centre of Nawa in Daraa countryside, seriously injuring him.

The injured man was taken to hospital for treatment, amid gunfire near the countryside recovery center by unknown persons.

The injured man is accused of promoting “drugs,” mugging, and looting.

This comes in light of the security chaos prevalent in Daraa.

 

Since early 2022, the number of attacks documented by SOHR in Daraa province has risen to 516, which left 474 people dead; and they are as follows:

• 214 civilians, including six women and 11 children.

• 170 regime military personnel, “collaborators” with security services and members with settled-status working for regime services and backed militias.

• 44 former fighters who did not join any military formation, after striking reconciliation deals.

• 32 ex-ISIS members and members accused of “belonging to ISIS cells.”

• Nine unidentified people.

• Five militiamen of the Russian-backed 5th Corps.
