Alarming rate of child abandonment | Civilian finds newborn baby behind his car’s tires

Al-Hasakah province: SOHR activists have reported that a car driver found a newborn baby dumbed behind the tires of his car in the field of the National Hospital within SDF-held areas in Al-Hasakah countryside.

According to reliable SOHR sources, the baby was taken to the hospital after it was revealed that the baby was being suffocated before being dumbed behind the car tires.

According to SOHR statistics, this is the 37th case of abandoned new-born babies since early 2022 with 22 cases documented in regime-controlled areas and 15 documented in SDF-controlled areas.
