Day after having been kidn*apped | Residents find de*ad body of young man in western Daraa countryside

Daraa province: This morning, residents found the body of a young man with gunshot wounds dumped on A’edwan dam outskirts in the western countryside of Daraa, a day after he was abducted by unknown gunmen.

The dead man is from Al-Maskiyah town in Lajat district of the northern Daraa countryside and lives in the south of Tafas city in the western countryside of Daraa.

This comes in light of the rampant security chaos that pervades Daraa province.

Since early 2022, the number of attacks documented by SOHR in Daraa province has risen to 519, which left 477 people dead; and they are as follows:

• 215 civilians, including six women and 11 children.

• 172 regime military personnel, “collaborators” with security services and members with settled-status working for regime services and backed militias.

• 44 former fighters who did not join any military formation, after striking reconciliation deals.

• 32 ex-ISIS members and members accused of “belonging to ISIS cells.”

• Nine unidentified people.

• Five militiamen of the Russian-backed 5th Corps.
