The Islamic Union demands from al- Islam Army to apologize and point its weapons against the enemy around al- Ghouta after the Third Brigade of al- Islam Army accuses Fajr al- Ummah Brigade of arresting and torturing its members

SOHR received a copy of a statement issued by the Islamic Union of Ajnad al- Sham that works in the Eastern Ghouta in response to the statement issued by the Third Brigade in al- Islam Army that accused Fajr al- Ummah of kidnapping, arresting and torturing  members in the Third Brigade. The announcement stated, “after a lot of kidnapping and arresting operations carried out al- Islam Army, where the victims were from several parties like the Sharia body of Damascus and Rif Dimashq, and after the mutual arrests that took place between Jabhat al- Nusra and al- Islam Army that ended by signing memorandum of understanding between the two sides to stop bloodshed and the arrests of Mesraba and Saqba that carried out away from the judicial council and without even thinking about getting any judicial warrant, the security office in the city of Harasta arrested 3 persons in in a security case after informing the judicial council of al- Ghouta, one of them was a jurist in al- Islam Army which established a checkpoint at the entrance of the city of Harasta from Mesraba direction, then he started to arrest members of Fajr al- Ummah in random way, and when our brothers in Jabhat al- Nusra intervened we handed the detainees over to the judiciary while al- Islam Army released Jajr al- Ummah jihadists.”

 

The Islamic Union of Ajnad al- Sham added, “in the next nightm the Third Brigade re-established the checkpoint and arrested al- Mujahedeen, then it arrested Abo Ja’far whi is a member in the Shura Council of al- Ummah Brigade, and when al- Sheikh Sa’id Darwish intervened with some of notables of the Eastern Ghouta in order to end the crisis and release the detainees al- Islam Army leader refused the mediation in a very offensive manner and threatening to torture Abo Ja’far. all that accompanied by establishing earth mounds at the entrance of Harasta and moving a lot of heavy equipment belong to al- Islam Army in the area and mobilizing its security checkpoints.”

 

The Islamic Union demanded the following:

• To release all the detainees unconditionally, above all the leader Abo Ja’far.
• To do apologize to the brigade of Fajr al- Ummah for the recent repeated assaults.
• To withdraw all armed acts from roads and to promise to point the weapons against the oppressive enemy that besiege the Ghouta.
• To stop the media campaign of defamation against the brigade of Fajr al- Ummah and the false accusations announced by the leaders of al- Islam Army and its members.
• To adopt the Unified Judiciary Council as the only entity to solve the disputes, and to accept all its resolutions unconditionally.
