After arrival of reinforcements | Residents of Deir Ezzor deploy to intercept regime attacks

Deir Ezzor province: SOHR activists have reported that dozens of residents deployed in the roads and streets of western Deir Ezzor in SDF-held areas in preparation to intercept attempts by the regime to advance, where the residents announced their readability to intercept any attack by the regime and the Iranian militias.

This comes after the regime brought military reinforcements to the vicinity of SDF-held areas.

A few hours ago, “International Coalition” planes dropped flare grenades over the frontlines on “Euphrates River” separating between SDF areas on one hand and areas of regime forces and Iranian militias on the other hand in Deir Ezzor countryside, to prevent sneak operations by regime forces, with appeals by residents for regime forces to enter.

On the other hand, regime forces brought military reinforcements comprising weapons, anti-aircraft and ammunition, which set off from the 137th Brigade. Meanwhile, Syrian Iranian-backed militias brought reinforcements that headed towards Al-Hosaina, Morat, Hatla villages and Al-Baghiliyah area opposite to SDF-held areas in Deir Ezzor countryside.

This comes after the withdrawal of SDF from its areas in the region due to the latest protests, where there are currently no checkpoints on the villages on borders such as Al-Janinah, Al-Jai’a, Al-Jalamda and Al-Hosan along the line of Euphrates river.

Yesterday, SOHR activists reported that violent clashes erupted at the banks of Euphrates river between regime forces and SDF members on the crossing of Al-Janina area in Deir Ezzor countryside.
The clashes erupted with medium and heavy weapons, coinciding with explosions that hit the region.
