Accused of “dealing with the regime’s military security branch” | Young man was shot de*ad by unknown gunmen in eastern Daraa

Daraa province: A young man was shot dead by unknown gunmen in Alma town in the eastern countryside of Daraa, while the attackers managed to escape.

 

According to SOHR sources, the victim worked as a taxi driver in Irzaa city, and he was accused of “dealing with the regime’s military security branch in the town.”

 

This comes as a part of the ongoing security chaos in Daraa province.

 

Since early 2022, the number of attacks documented by SOHR in Daraa province has risen to 520, which left 480 people dead; and they are as follows:

 

  • 215 civilians, including six women and 11 children.

 

  • 175 regime military personnel, “collaborators” with security services and members with settled-status working for regime services and backed militias.

 

  • 44 former fighters who did not join any military formation, after striking reconciliation deals.

 

  • 32 ex-ISIS member and members accused of “belonging to ISIS cells.”

 

  • Nine unidentified people.

 

  • Five militiamen of the Russian-backed 5th
