Demanding puni*shing ki*llers of two girls | Angry protests continue for the fourth consecutive day against “Abu Khawla” in western Deir Ezzor countryside
Deir Ezzor province: Dozens of residents of the towns of Al-Kabir, Jawaih Boumasaa and Al-Kasra in the western countryside of Deir Ezzor staged angry protests, blocking roads with burning rubber tyres.
The protestors demanded that the brother of Deir Ezzor military council leader Abu Khawla who was involved in the killing of the two girls be held accountable and expelling him from the area.
Villages and towns in Deir Ezzor countryside see angry protests against the commander of the military council “Abu Khawla” for the fourth consecutive day, despite the issuance of a statement by the General Command of the Internal Security Forces in northern and eastern Syria, clarifying the referral of the killers of the two girls to justice.
Yesterday, residents of the villages of Muhaymidah, Hawayij, Al-Bosam’a, Sferah and Al-Hesan, including people from “Al-Bakarah” tribe, staged a sit-in protest and set fire to rubber tyres, blocking streets. The protestors called for holding accountable the murderers of the two girls in Al-Suwar town in Deir Ezzor countryside.
It is worth noting that villages and towns in Deir Ezzor countryside witnessed protests for three consecutive days over the death of two girls by the brother of the head of Deir Ezzor Military Council “Abu Khawla.”
