Fire break out | Two children die inside Al-Arisha camp in Al-Hasakah

Al-Hasakah province: SOHR activists have reported that two brothers displaced from Mahkan town in eastern Deir Ezzor countryside died this morning due to the explosion of a gas cylinder inside their tent in Al-Arisha camp in Al-Hasakah countryside.

People living inside the camps in different areas of Syria suffer harsh living conditions in absence of safety measures and medical facilities for emergencies.

On December 6, a fire broke out in Tel Al-Samn camp for displaced persons in northern Al-Raqqah countryside, injuring six students in a tent intended for education.
According to SOHR sources, a fire broke out in one of the school tents in Tel Al-Samn camp due to the use of gasoline-containing fast-burning heating diesel, burning the tent and injuring six students, including two seriously. The injured people were taken to the hospital for treatment.
On August 7, SOHR activists reported that a fire broke out in a tent of a displaced family in the early hours of Sunday morning and swept to nearby tents in “Al-Washukani” camp for displaced persons from Ras Al-Ain area of Al-Hasakah countryside.
Two children of one family died and others were injured, while fire crews managed to extinguish the fire, after the fire engulfed five tents inhabited by displaced families.
