Demanding Abu Khawla be held accountable | People stage protest in Al-Kibar town in western Deir Ezzor countryside

Deir Ezzor province: Dozens of people from Al-Kibar town in the western countryside of Deir Ezzor took part in a protest demonstration demanding that the leader of the Deir Ezzor military council, Abu Khawla, and the killers of “Duqduq” be held accountable, amid road blockades with burning tyres.

The demonstrations have continued for several days in several areas of Deir Ezzor countryside over the killing of two girls by Abu Khawla’s brother in retaliation against the two girls’ relatives.

Yesterday, angry protests continued by the residents of Deir Ezzor villages and towns. In this context, the residents of Hawaij Boumsa’a town in the western countryside of Deir Ezzor held a demonstration this morning, amid the closure of roads with burning tyres, “demanding that the killers of the girls be held accountable, the killers of Daqadouk to be expelled from the area and a military council of “Al-Bakara” tribe to be formed.

On December 27, Angry protests by the residents of Deir Ezzor towns and villages continued since December 21, despite attempts by representatives of the “SDF” to pacify protesters and issuing a statement by the General Command of Internal Security in Northern and Eastern Syria, but this has not worked, amid a demand that the killers of the girls be held accountable.
