IS-IS ambush | Six SDF members kil-led and injured in Al-Hasakah
Al-Hasakah province: An SDF member was killed and five others were injured in an ambush by ISIS cells targeting a military 4×4 vehicle in Al-Atallah village in Al-Shadadi town southern of Al-Hasakah.
According to reliable SOHR sources, an ambush was set by ISIS members targeting a vehicle carrying SDF members, amid information about the arrival of military reinforcements to the area and arrival of ambulance vehicles to move the injured to the hospitals.
It is worth noting that ISIS cells have escalated intensity of activities in SDF-held areas recently.
SOHR has documented 209 operations carried out by ISIS, including armed attacks and explosions, in areas under the control of the Autonomous Administration since early 2022.
According to SOHR statistics, these operations left 151 persons dead: 54 civilians, including two women and a child, an unidentified man and 95 members of SDF, the Internal Security Forces, and other military formations operating in areas under the control of the Autonomous Administration.
It is worth noting that these attacks have not included the operation of Ghuwayran prison, which left heavy losses.
