Ongoing viola*tions | Turkish-backed factions ass*ault and arrest Afrin civilians

Aleppo province: SOHR sources have reported that members of Sultan Murrad faction in Afrin assaulted a civilian with special needs who has been displaced from eastern Ghouta, after the civilian had asked a member of the faction to pay money which he had borrowed. The faction’s member beat the civilian and verbally abused him.

 

On the other hand, members of a patrol of the Turkish intelligence arrested a civilian from Jendires in Afrin countryside in north-western Aleppo for “working previously for Komin of the former Autonomous Administration during its control of Afrin.”

 

On December 24, a civil police patrol arrested a resident of the Khirbet Sharan village in Afrin city, accused of dealing with the former “Autonomous Administration,” while demanding his financial dues from an armed man.

 

In a related development, members of “Al-Sham Corps” faction severely beat a resident of Shadirah village in Shirawa district of Afrin countryside, after the man refused to sell food items to members of the “Al-Sham Corps,” in addition to insulting him.
