Security operation | Over 45 people arrested in Al-Hasakah including 11 accused of “providing logistic support and smuggling IS-IS families”

Al-Hasakah province: SOHR activists have reported that the number of people arrested in Al-Hawl town has risen to 11 people, all of them involved in providing logistic support to ISIS members and smuggling their families from Al-Hawl camp in Al-Hasakah countryside.

Earlier today, the security units of the “SDF,” with the support of the “International Coalition,” arrested nearly six ISIS members in Al-Hawl town, south-east of Al-Hasakah and took them to the “SDF” security posts.

SDF security units continued their anti-ISIS campaign, carrying out a large-scale campaign of arrests in Al-Qamishli city neighbourhoods of Al-Hasakah countryside, arresting more than 35 ISIS members and finding in their possession weapons, ammunition, and tools that were intended to be used in ISIS attacks in the area.

According to SOHR sources, the arrestees were accused of facilitating the movements of ISIS groups and their collaborators, aimed at destabilising security and stability in the “SDF” controlled areas in northern and eastern Syria.
