IS-IS resurgence | Gunmen target commander of Internal Security Forces in Deir Ezzor

Deir Ezzor province: Unidentified gunmen, believed to belong to ISIS, targeted a commander of the Internal Security Forces near a checkpoint of Al-Asayesh in Al-Sabha town in eastern Deir Ezzor countryside. However, no casualties have been reported yet.

It is worth noting that this is the 4th attack today, in light of the escalation of attacks and operations by ISIS cells in SDF-held areas in northern and eastern of Syria, especially after the bloodiest attack by ISIS in Al-Raqqa.

A few hours ago, an SDF member was killed and six others were injured severely, due to the explosion of a landmine planted by ISIS cells on the road of Al-Said Ibrahim village in Manbij countryside south eastern of Aleppo, coinciding with the passing of a military vehicle carrying SDF members, where the injured people were taken to the hospital to receive proper medication. Meanwhile, the number of casualties is likely to rise due to the presence of critically injured people.
