Under cover of humanitarian efforts | “Al-Basheer” charity lures residents in Homs countryside to adopt “Al-Wali Al-Faqeeh” ideology

Homs province: SOHR sources have reported that “Al-Basheer” charity, the religious arm of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), has held several intellectual seminars in several villages and towns in Homs countryside, supporting and promoting for the ideology of “Al-Wali Al-Faqeeh” (the Jurisprudent Ruler) under the cover of a charitable campaign dubbed “Fa’aliyat Tanmawiyah – Kafalat Al-Yateem” (developmental events – orphan sponsorship).

These seminars including calls for learning the principles of “Al-Wali Al-Faqeeh” ideology in remote villages and the areas of Al-Sukhnah and Al-Bayyarat whose inhabitants had known nothing about the principles of this ideology. During these seminars, “Al-Basheer” charity held two courses in which the charity officials called upon the region’s residents to attend these course accompanying children of dead and missing people, where they could receive souvenirs, financial support and food baskets.

According to SOHR sources, tens of children attended those seminars, which were held under protection by IRGC and the Afghan “Liwaa Fatemiyoun,” with the aim of getting “rewards.”

On the other hand, a delegation form “Al-Basheer” charity headed from the charity’s headquarters in Al-Abbasiyyah neighbourhood on the eastern outskirts of Homs city to the villages of Al-Mukhtariyah, Al-Ashrafiyyah, Al-Najmah and Kafr Abd village, which accommodate Shiite and Sunni inhabitants, where several religious characters and figures were personalised as a part of the events held in “Sayyed Al-Shuhadaa hosayniya” in Kafr Abd village, as well as holding a symbolic funeral for “Al-Siddiqah Al-Tahera” (the righteous and virtuous woman) with the aim of instilling the ideology of “Al-Wali Al-Faqeeh” into children aged five to ten years old. A “hosayniya” is a congregation hall for Twelver Shia Muslim commemoration ceremonies, for their proxy militiamen, where the Shiite Azan (call to prayers) is used and Shiite rituals are practiced,

“Al-Basheer” charity’s systematic campaign also covered predominantly Shiite- Alawite villages in the western countryside of Homs, where Sheikh “Ali Al-Dari’e” called the residents of these villages to escort their children to “Sayyed Al-Shuhadaa hosayniya,” offering them gift and money.

It is worth noting that Iran’s religious arms in Homs exploit the dreadful living conditions of the residents and lure them to attend events to spread “Al-Wali Al-Faqeeh” ideology with the aim of expanding Iran’s scheme in the centre of Syria, along with “Shi’aism” proselytising operations (conversion to Shiite) in remote areas dominated by Iranian-backed militias.
