Daraa security chaos | Unidentified people target house of civilian for refusing to pay ransoms

Daraa province: Gunmen on two motorbikes targeted the house of a civilian in Al-Awja village western of Al-Mazirib city in western Daraa countryside, leading to injuries.

According to reliable SOHR sources, unidentified people demanded huge ransoms from the owner of the house and threatened to kill him if he refuses to pay.

This comes in light of the ongoing security chaos in Daraa and the widespread of weapons with the absence of laws deterrent laws.

Earlier today, SOHR sources reported that an officer of military intelligence service sustained injuries in the explosion of an IED in Shaqra village in the north of Izraa city in the eastern countryside of Daraa.

The officer, who was taken to the hospital, is from Homs countryside and known for committing violations and reprehensible practices against the people of Daraa, mainly setting makeshift checkpoints and arresting civilians with the aim of blackmailing them and asking them for large sums of money in return for their release.
