Arrested five years ago | Young man from Homs countryside dies under torture in regime prison

Homs province: A young man from Talbiseh in the northern countryside of Homs died under torture in the regime’s “notorious” Sednaya prison after an arrest of nearly five years.

It is worth noting that the young man defected from the regime’s army.

This comes in light of ongoing violations by the regime’s security services in the detention centres, and brutal repression of civilians.

In 2022, SOHR documented the death of 104 people under torture in the regime’s prisons and detention centers.
