Without charging them | Security patrol storms a hospital in Homs and arrests two brothers

Homs province: A security patrol of the Anti-Narcotics branch in Homs arrested two people from inside Al-Shifaa Hospital in the centre of Homs city arbitrarily, while they were moving their relative, who needs an urgent surgical operation, causing panic among patients and people accompanying them as they were scared they would be arrested by the members of the patrol.

The residents inside Al-Shifaa Hospital expressed their annoyance after the security authorities and members of the Intelligence stormed the hospital, and demanded that these authorities leave the health section as this section is considered a destination for people needing medical treatment.

Sources close to the family of the detainees confirmed to SOHR that no charges were pressed against the detainees while they were being arrested, and the arrest occurred due to the fact that the two detainees are from Talbisa city in northern Homs countryside, which witnessed security tension during the past few days after two dignitaries from Talbisa were arrested.

On January 4, the Air Force Intelligence branch in Homs released two civilians from Talbisa city, hours after arresting them without knowing the charges pressed against them, amid security tention in the region.
