Old ordnance | Landmine explosion injures a child in Idlib

A child was injured due to the explosion of a landmine of war remnants, while he was playing near his house in Ehsam town southern of Idlib.

Yesterday, four olive tree pruning workers were injured, due to the explosion of a landmine of war remnants in the agricultural lands in Zalin village in northern Hama countryside, and they were taken to Al-Hayah hospital in Mahrada city.

Accordingly, SOHR has documented the death of 216 civilians, including ten women and 108 children, due to explosions of old landmines, unexploded shells and bombs across Syria in 2022. In addition, 318 civilians, including 20 women and 190 children, sustained various injuries in the same period.
