Security operation | General Security Service arrests five associates with IS-IS

Al-Raqqa province: Members of the Public Security Service of the Internal Security Forces “Al-Asayesh” in Al-Raqqa arrested 5 people who provided assistance to the terrorist cell that targeted security centers in Al-Raqqa on December 26, 2022.

On the same context, the Internal Security Forces issued a statement that read: “On Monday, January 9, as part of the follow-up and pursuit of ISIS cells, and based on security information and proven evidence obtained by our forces in Al-Raqqa, the General Security Service managed to arrest five people, who belong to a terrorist cell that assisted the terrorist cell that targeted the western center of our forces in Al-Raqqa, on December 26, 2022.”

Where the members of this cell work in manufacturing explosives and landmines of various types using remote control devices, and they were planning to carry out terrorist acts.

In addition, a large amount of primary materials used in making explosives were seized, with most of these materials were electrical and electronic, in addition to over 50 explosive detonators, over 240 laser mine sensors, cell phones, and laptops and over 250 electronic circuits prepared for detonation were also seized.
