Anti-IS*IS campaign | Security units, backed by two coalition helicopters, arrest five Iraqi men in Al-Hawl camp

Al-Hasakah province: Special security units arrested five Iraqi men for “belonging to ISIS and participating in assassinations, in Al-Hawl camp in the far south-east of Al-Hasakah, after a raid campaign on the camp by security units with the participation of two “International Coalition” helicopters.

The security crackdown targeted the section inhabited by Iraqi people, while international coalition aircraft provided air support by opening lighting searchlights.

On January 14, SOHR activists reported that units of Internal Security Forces (Asayish) raided a number of sections of Al-Hawl camp, arresting three displaced Syrians for “belonging to ISIS.”

It is worth noting that recent days have seen a campaign of arrests of Iraqi refugees and displaced Syrians in Al-Hawl camp. The charges against the detainees were unknown.
