Monitoring Iranians’ movements and detecting smug*gling operations | Coalition helicopter fly over Euphrates river

Deir Ezzor province: SOHR sources have reported that helicopters of the International Coalition have flown over Euphrates river which separates SDF-controlled areas from areas controlled by regime forces and Iranian-backed militias. Meanwhile, helicopters hovered over Khesham town, the surrounding villages, Al-Izbah town and Koniko gas field in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor.

This comes as a part of attempts by the Coalition to monitor Iranians’ movements and detect smuggling operations.

On January 21, SOHR sources reported that International Coalition helicopters were flying at low altitude over Euphrates river and areas separating between SDF and Iranian militias in Deir Ezzor countryside.

This coincided with routine patrol to monitor the river and the movements of the Syrian regime, where the patrol roamed the eastern countryside all the way to the laboratories.

Moreover, “International Coalition” forces conducted a patrol in the vicinity of Koniko field, where the patrol left the field as part of routine patrol.
