With ongoing curfew | SDF and Al-Asayesh arrest nearly ten IS-IS members and find warehouse storing IEDs
Al-Raqqa province: SDF and the Internal Security Forces “Al-Asayesh” launched a combing operation and stormed Al-Jazara neighbourhood in Al-Raqqa city searching for ISIS cells, as part of the “Revenge for Martyrs of Al-Raqqa” operation.
According to reliable SOHR sources, the forces arrested nearly ten ISIS members, through raiding several houses sheltering them, and found warehouses storing IEDs, weapons and ammunition.
This coincided with the ongoing curfew inside the neghbourhood.
Earlier today, the SDF arrested seven ISIS members. Accordingly, the number of ISIS detainees and suspects has risen to 100 since the launch of the “Revenge for Al-Raqqah’s deaths” campaign launched by the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) and the Internal Security Forces (Asayish) with the support of the International Coalition, in the cities of Al-Raqqah, Al-Karamah, Sarin and Al-Mansoura.
During the campaign, SDF confiscated weapons, ammunition, and documents.
According to the sources, the forces involved in the campaign began today with combing operations in Al-Raqqah, and large parts of Al-Diriyah neighbourhood.
