Arbitrary arrests | Military police arrest civilian in Azaz in northern Aleppo countryside

Aleppo province: A military police patrol arbitrarily arrested a young man without a warrant. The young man is from Maarat Masrin city in Idlib countryside on January 14 while the victim was on his way from Idlib city to Azaz city in the northern countryside of Aleppo for unknown reasons.

 

On January 24, SOHR activists reported that members of “Al-Hamza Division” arrested a young man from Idlib city on January 22, while he was heading from Idlib to Al-Bab city, where the kidnappers demanded his family pay ransoms for his release.

According to reliable SOHR sources, members of Al-Hamza Division moved the young man to Al-Daghlabash village in Al-Bab countryside eastern of Aleppo on the frontlines with Kurdish and regime forces in northern Aleppo countryside after they kidnapped him, amid threats to his family to kill him in case they do not pay ransoms.

In the same context, members of a patrol of the Military Police arrested a young man from Al-Bab city near Fatima Al-Zahraa mosque, without knowing the charges pressed against him.
