Ongoing oppression | Hezbollah commander force civilian to sell his farmland in Rif Dimashq

Iranian-backed militias continue entrenching their presence in different Syrian areas through buying real estate, where the purchase and taking over of farmlands has escalated in western Qalamoun for the favour of the Lebanese Hezbollah.

According to local sources, the purchase of real estate units escalated noticeably in Badda town centre, where commanders of Hezbollah aim at turning them into headquarters. The sources also confirmed that the latest incident took place a few days ago, where a farmland of four acres was sold for members affiliated with Hezbollah. This farmland is located two kilometres to the village on the road between Badda and Hafir Al-Fouqa in Rif Dimashq.

SOHR sources have reported that a 48-year-old Syrian commander in Hezbollah known as “Haj Talal” from Talfitah town asked for purchasing that land through a real estate office, whose owner negotiated and threatened the owner of the land, informing him that Hezbollah wanted to build a warehouse on this land.

The land belongs to a man known by his initials as M. B. who had endured oppression by Hezbollah in order to force him to sell the land, as he had refused to sell his land several times.
