Deir Ezzor | SDF arrests six Asayish members accused of complicity in smuggling of ISIS families

Deir Ezzor province: SDF security forces have arrested six members of Internal Security Forces “Asayish” who are working in Al-Hawl camp in the eastern countryside of Al-Hasakah.

The arrestees are accused of complicity and facilitating the smuggling of ISIS families from the camp in exchange for huge sums of money.

Yesterday, SOHR activists reported that the forces that are participating in the “Revenge for Martyrs of Al-Raqqa” campaign arrested 13 people in Al-Raqqa, where the combing operations took place in Al-Forat neighbourhood and Kazeh Abo Al-Kahf neighbourhood in Al-Raqqa.

According to reliable SOHR sources, these forces arrested drug dealers in possession of archaeological items that were set to be smuggled in addition to weapons, while searching “Al-Karajat and Abo Al-Haif neighbourhoods, and the southern neighbourhoods of Al-Raqqa”, the security operation coincided with the ongoing curfew inside the neighbourhoods.

Accordingly, the number of ISIS detainees and suspects has risen to 123, including 13 drug dealers since the launch of the “Revenge for Al-Raqqah’s deaths” campaign launched by the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) and the Internal Security Forces (Asayish) with the support of the International Coalition, in the cities of Al-Raqqah, Al-Karamah, Sarin and Al-Mansoura.
During the campaign, SDF confiscated weapons, ammunition, and documents.
