Demanding free arrestees | Protests go on for third day in row in Al-Ezba and Al-Maaizaleh towns in northern Deir Ezzor countryside

Deir Ezzor province: Popular protests have renewed for a third consecutive day in Al-Ezba and Al-Maaizaleh towns in the northern countryside of Deir Ezzor.

Dozens of people staged protests, demanding the release of innocent detainees by the SDF amid blocking the main road with burning tyres.

Last night, Protestors in Al-Ezba and Al-Maaizaleh towns in Deir Ezzor countryside called for armed protests tomorrow, after the end of the period given to SDF to release the detainees and improve conditions in the region, and they threatened to close all roads and prevent the passage of oil tanks and vehicles of SDF and the International Coalition until their demands are met.

According to reliable SOHR sources, the head of the Deir Ezzor Military Council, after being informed of the armed protests, pledged to release the detainees from Al-Ezba and Al-Maaizaleh towns that were not proved to participate in killing innocents and asked the families of the detainees to provide the names of their sons and the charges pressed against them for them to undergo reconciliation.
