Chaos and arms proliferations | Civilian killed in northern Latakia countryside

Latakia province: A “fisherman” was shot dead by another fisherman while they were in the vicinity of Salma town in northern Latakia countryside.

According to local sources, the killing was accidental.

This comes in light of rampant security chaos and widespread arms proliferation in areas controlled by the regime amid the failure to enact deterrent laws banning arms use.

On January 13, SOHR sources reported that a member of the 8th Brigade died of the wounds he sustained earlier in Al-Harrak city when a gunshot was fired by mistake, while he was cleaning his gun. The incident took place on Tuesday, and he had been taken then to the hospital until he died that day.
