ISIS attack | Two SDF member killed in northern Deir Ezzor countryside

Deir Ezzor province: Two fighters of SDF were killed in an attack by ISIS members on a military site of “SDF” in Al-Talah near Barsham village in northern Deir Ezzor countryside, while the attacker fled to an unknown destination.

This comes in light of ongoing escalated ISIS activity in SDF-held areas northern and eastern Syria, despite the security campaigns carried out by SDF.

SOHR has documented 21 operations carried out by ISIS, including armed attacks and explosions, in areas under the control of the Autonomous Administration since early 2023. According to SOHR statistics, these operations left 21 persons dead: Three civilians, 17 members of SDF, the Internal Security Forces, and other military formations operating in areas under the control of the Autonomous Administration and one unidentified man. These operations are distributed regionally as follows:

• Al-Raqqah: Eight attacks left four combatants dead.

• Deir Ezzor: Nin attacks left three civilians, an unidentified man and six combatants dead.

• Aleppo: Two attacks left six combatants, including commanders, dead.

• Al-Hasakah: Two attacks left a combatant dead and others injured.
