Renewed shelling | Regime forces target villages in Idlib countryside and Sahl Al-Ghab in Putin-Erdogan area

Regime forces stationed at the checkpoints surrounding “Putin-Erdogan” area have fired heavy artillery shells, targeting the villages of Al-Fatirah, Fulayfel and Safohn in Jabal Al-Zawiyah in the southern Idlib countryside, and Al-Sarmaniyah in Sahl Al-Ghab. No casualties have been reported so far.

Putin-Erdogan area sees infiltration attempts and mutual bombardment between regime forces and factions from time to time.

On January 28, SOHR activists reported that a regime soldier was shot dead by members of “Al-Fath Al-Mubin” operation room from the “sniping brigades” on Maarat Mokhas frontline in southern Idlib countryside.

Moreover, regime forces fired artillery shells and heavy machineguns on Maarat Al-Naasan frontline in Idlib countryside, and Al-Habata frontline in southern Aleppo countryside.
