New assassination | Unidentified gunmen shoot member of the “Free Army” dead in Daraa
Daraa province: A member of the “Free Army” factions, who underwent reconciliation with the regime on 2018, was shot dead by unidentified gunmen in Al-Yadoda town in western Daraa countryside. It is worth noting that he has not joined any military side after undergoing reconciliation.
This comes in light of the rampant security chaos in Daraa province, amid the failure of local authorities to control security chaos.
Since early 2023, the number of attacks documented by SOHR in Daraa province has risen to 43, which left 31 people dead; and they are as follows:
• Eight civilians, including two women.
• 15 regime soldiers, members and collaborators with regime security services.
• Two former fighters who did not join any military formation, after striking reconciliation deals.
• Four ISIS members.
• Two ex-combatants with settled-status working for regime services and backed militias.
