“Revenge for Al-Raqqah deaths” | Eight ISIS members, including two sharia officials, arrested, while 131 members arrested since beginning of crackdown

Al-Raqqah province: Today, the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) and internal security forces (Asayish), backed by International Coalition forces, arrested eight ISIS members, including two senior sharia’a officials, and found in their possession a number of Sharia’a documents and books.

Accordingly, the number of ISIS members and suspects detained by SDF since the start of “Revenge for Al-Raqqah Deaths” campaign, which was launched seven days ago, has risen to 131.

On January 28, SOHR activists reported that the number of ISIS detainees and suspects rose to 123, including 13 drug dealers since the launch of the “Revenge for Al-Raqqah’s deaths” campaign launched by the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) and the Internal Security Forces (Asayish) with the support of the International Coalition, in the cities of Al-Raqqah, Al-Karamah, Sarin and Al-Mansoura.

During the campaign, SDF confiscated weapons, ammunition, and documents.
