Military escalation | At least four regime soldiers, including officer, killed by HTS attack on regime post on Kafruma frontline in southern Idlib countryside

At least four regime soldiers, including a major, were killed when the artillery regiment of Hayyat Tahrir Al-Sham fired “Katyusha” missiles and rockets hit one of the military headquarters of the regime forces on the frontline of Kfaroma town in the southern countryside of Idlib in “Putin-Erdogan” area.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) has documented the death of 62 combatants and the injuring of more than 48 others, including six civilians and children, during 27 operations, attacks, suicide operations, sniper attacks, and clashes in “Putin-Erdogan” area.

The fatalities are as follows:

• Three civilians were killed by regime shelling.

• 41 regime personnel, including five officers.

• 16 HTS members, including a French jihadist.

• Two members of “Ansar Al-Tawheed” jihadist faction.
