Violations in Afrin | Turkish-backed National Army factions fell trees and steal civilians’ properties

Aleppo province: Turkish-backed factions continue assaulting civilians’ properties in Afrin by felling olive trees and selling civilians’ properties to sell them as heating logs.

On the same context, members of Al-Sultan Murad and Al-Sham Legion factions and the Military Police felled nearly 150 olive trees in Maarata, Al-Ghazawiyah, Juwaik and Darkarih villages in Afrin countryside to sell them as heating logs, despite the civilians issuing complaints to the Military Police, however the Military Police refused to register the complaints under the pretext that they do not have authority over the “National Army” factions.

On the other hand, members of Al-Sultan Suleiman Shah factions (Al-Amshat) forcibly took over a real estate office in Qarzihal village in Shirawa district, which belongs to a civilian displaced to Aleppo province, to establish commercial stores in the site.

Moreover, members of Al-Sultan Murad faction sold a house in Afrin Al-Jadida neighbourhood for 2,000 USDs, which belongs to a civilian from Afrin.

Meanwhile in Kimar village in Shirawa district in Afrin countryside, members of Al-Hamza Division sold nearly 25 sheep from a shepherd, where the sheep belong to three civilians from the village, where the members moved the stolen sheep to Al-Ghazawiyah village to sell them to merchants from Idlib.
