Death toll update | Number of casualties in Syria due to earthquake rises to 2,082

SOHR activists have reported that the number of people who died under the rubbles in Syria has risen to 2,082 including 1,062 people in regime-held areas and 1,020 in areas of the “Salvation Government” and the “Syrian Interim Government” in the Syrian north, and over 150 people in Al-Atarib city in western Aleppo countryside, in addition to the injury of over 2,000 people and dozens of families still stuck under the rubbles, coinciding with the inability of rescue teams to recover the bodies and the injured people from under the rubbles.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights appeals to international authorities to interfere immediately to save injured people and survivors in light of the poor capabilities of Syrian rescue teams.
