Deir Ezzor | Regime soldiers injured in explo*sion of landmine laid by “IS*IS” to target their vehicle

Deir Ezzor province: Three regime soldiers sustained various injuries in a landmine explosion which targeted a military vehicle that was carrying them, in Haribsha-Al-Harir desert in the southern Deir Ezzor desert which is under the control of regime forces and Iranian militias.

 

It is noted that “ISIS” lays mines and uses explosive devices in its operations to target regime forces and Iranian militias.

 

According to SOHR statistics, the number of fatalities in military operations in the Syrian desert since early 2023 has increased to 28; and they are as follows:

 

  • One ISIS member was killed in clashes with regime forces and Russian airstrikes on ISIS hideouts in the deserts of Homs, Al-Suwaidaa, Hama, Al-Raqqah, Deir Ezzor and Aleppo.

 

  • 27 members of regime forces and their proxy militias, including 12 Iranian-backed Syrian and non-Syrian militiamen, were killed in 19 operations by ISIS members, including ambushes, armed attacks, and explosions, in west Euphrates region and the deserts of Deir Ezzor, Al-Raqqah, Homs, Al-Suwaidaa, Hama and Aleppo.

 

  • One civilian was killed in attacks by ISIS in the Syrian desert.

 

Here is a regional distribution of those attacks:

 

  • Homs desert: Nine operations left nine combatants dead, including three Iranian-backed militias.

 

  • Al-Raqqah desert: Four operations left four regime soldiers dead.

 

  • Deir Ezzor desert: Eight operations left an ISIS member and 14 combatants, including nine Iranian-backed militias, dead.
