Damascus | Member of Lebanese Hezbollah kil-led in Israeli attack on position in Kafr Sosa

SOHR activists have revealed the identity of one of the casualties due to the Israeli attack on the basement of a building in kafr Sosa in Damascus.

According to reliable SOHR sources, the victim is a member of the military department of Lebanese Hezbollah militias, and hails from southern of Lebanon, while the identities of the other five casualties remain unknown.

On February 19, SOHR activists confirmed the identity of nine people among 15 killed by the Israeli shelling on Kafr Sosa, in addition to missile shrapnel landed in Al-Mazra’a area, where the nine people are Syrian and are two civilians and seven military fighters including three officers, while the identity of the other six people remains unknown.

Israeli missiles were fired on positions holding Iranian militias and Lebanese Hezbollah militias in an area between Al-Saida Zainab and Al-Diyaba in Rif Dimashq causing fire to break out and explosions in the targeted area, in addition to an Iranian school in Kafr Sosa causing the collapse of a building and casualties.

Moreover, a missile hit Al-Mazra’a Square, amid reports of the death of a woman.

Al-Radar battalion was targeted in Tel Masih southern of Shuhabaa in Al-Suwaydaa.

In 2022, SOHR documented 32 airstrikes and ground rocket attacks, during which Israel targeted several positions in Syria, destroying nearly 91 targets, including buildings, warehouses, headquarters, centres, and vehicles. These strikes killed one civilian and 89 combatants and injured 121 others.
