Six children ki*lled in fires across Syria in 48 hours

SOHR activists have documented the death of six children in fires across Syria in the past 48 hours, while six other people were injured due to those fires which broke out when residents used unsafe heating materials.

 

On March 1, SOHR reported that two siblings, a boy and a girl, died hours after having been transported to the Turkish territory through Bab Al-Hawa crossing to be treated from the severe burns they had sustained on February 27 due to a fire in their tent which they were displaced to after the earthquake in Al-Ghazalah village, north of Dargoush town in the western countryside of Idlib.

 

While on March 2, five civilians sustained burns and shortness of breath due to a fire which broke out in Bab Al-Salama camp in Azaz countryside in the north of Aleppo in the early hours of Thursday. The fire devoured six tents, while four others sustained partial damage.

 

Also, two children, one aged four and the other aged two years and a half, were killed due to a fire in their house, while their parents were out, in Al-Tawani village in Al-Qatifah area in Rif Dimashq.

 

Moreover, two little brothers died of suffocation due to a fire in their house, and a man had wounds in his hand, while he was attempting to open the door to help the children in Al-Dana city in the north of Idlib. The man was taken to a hospital for treatment.
