Aleppo | “Asefat Al-Shamal” Brigade kidnaps Palestinian person and blackmails his family for 5,000 Euros

Aleppo province: “Asefat Al-Shamal” Brigade of the Turkish-backed National Army arrested a Palestinian civilian, who worked for the regime, while he was trying to cross the borders between Syria and Turkey through A’zaz city in northern Aleppo countryside via smuggling.

Members of “Asefat Al-Shamal” Brigade demanded the family of the Palestinian civilian a 5,000 Euros as ransom, and threatened them in case they do not pay the ransom.

After the ransom was received, the civilian was handed over to the military court in A’zaz city within “Euphrates Shield” area, without knowing his fate yet.

On February 2, SOHR sources reported that intelligence branch in Azaz city in the northern countryside of Aleppo arrested a Chechen man, who had worked as a media activist for the ISIS agency of “Amaq” four years ago.

According to SOHR sources, the arrested man confessed to working for ISIS, while several cameras and PCs were found in his house.
