Boat sinks off Libyan coast | Two children die while their parents remain missing along with others from Kobani
Rescue teams have retrieved the bodies of two children from Kobani city, while their parents remain missing, after a boat for refugees have sunk near the coasts of Tobrak city in Libya yesterday.
Meanwhile, nearly 25 refugees, mostly Syrian, are still missing including three civilians from Ain Al-Arab (Kobani) and Syrian women and children.
According to reliable SOHR sources, the boat set off from Libyan coasts towards Italy. However, the boat sank for unknown reasons.
Despite the dangers that face the Syrians, who seek safe haven, on their way towards European countries via “death boats”, many Syrians still resort to emigration overseas in search for a better life and a better reality, putting them in danger.
