Comprising 26 trucks | UN humanitarian aid convoy crosses into NW Syria through Bab Al-Hawa crossing

Idlib province: Today, a new UN humanitarian aid convoy comprising 26 trucks carrying relief materials crossed into areas in north-west Syria through Bab Al-Hawa border crossing to help those who have been affected by the earthquake that hit Syria on February 6.

 

Yesterday, SOHR sources reported that a new UN humanitarian aid convoy crossed into disaster-stricken areas in north-west Syria through Bab Al-Hawa crossing on the Syria-Turkey border. The convoy comprised 54 trucks carrying foodstuffs, including flour and cooking oil, and relief assistance.

 

Since the latest violent earthquake hit Syria on February 6, nearly 782 trucks carrying humanitarian assistance crossed into areas controlled by the “Salvation Government” and the “Syrian Interim Government” in north-west Syria; they are distributed as follows:

 

  • 474 trucks crossed through Bab Al-Hawa crossing.

 

  • 308 trucks crossed through Bab Al-Salama, Al-Ra’i and Al-Hamam crossings.
