“Euphrates Shield” areas | Unidentified gunmen open fire on protestors demanding improvement of security

Aleppo province: Dozens of residents of Al-Bab city in eastern Aleppo countryside went out on protests in front of the Civil Police Station, denouncing the deterioration of the living and security conditions in the region.

The protestors demanded reduction of costs and improvement of the security conditions, following the attacks and assassinations in “Euphrates Shield” area by unidentified gangs.

Coincidingly, four masked gunmen on two motorbikes opened fire directly on the protestors to disperse them, without any casualties being reported, while the masked gang fled to an unknown destination.

On February 28, the Free Lawyers Syndicate in Al-Ra’iy city in northern Aleppo countryside staged protests denouncing the Turkish interference in issues of the free lawyers’ work.

This came after orders of the Turkish authorities to prevent the release of hundreds of detainees that were proven innocent, where lawyers in “Euphrates Shield” area considered interfering in judicial and criminal issues and monitoring the issues as violation of judicial laws in the region.
