Combing campaign in Syrian desert | Communication lost with 12 NDF member while searching for ISIS cells

Deir Ezzor province: SOHR sources have reported that communication was lost with 12 members of the National Defence Forces of Al-Bosaraya tribe from Ayyash town in the western countryside of Al-Raqqah. The NDF members were gone missing during a combing operation which was launched on March 7 for searching for ISIS cells in Al-Bishri desert near the administrative border between Deir Ezzor and Al-Raqqah provinces.

SOHR sources suggest that they were kidnapped by gunmen of ISIS cells, where they fate remains unknown.

Recently, the Syrian desert experienced several kidnaps and surprise attacks by ISIS cells which targeted combatants and civilians, especially truffle pickers.

A few hours ago, SOHR sources reported that unknown gunmen kidnapped two civilians from Al-Khemaysiyah village in the eastern countryside of Al-Raqqah, while they were searching for truffle in Al-Bishri desert in south-eastern Al-Raqqah.
