Accused of “involving in drug business” | Security forces shoot young man dead in Manbij

Aleppo province: SOHR sources have reported that a young man accused of “involving in drug business” was shot dead by security forces in SDF-controlled areas in Manbij city in the eastern countryside of Aleppo, as he resisted the security forces’ attempt to arrest him.

Towns and villages separating areas controlled by Manbij Military Council from “Euphrates Shield” area experience frequent operations of smuggling drugs and fuel.

On January 14, SOHR sources reported that a young man from Ahmir Jais village in Manbij countryside eastern of Aleppo was killed, where he was shot dead by regime soldiers near the frontlines separating SDF-held areas and regime-held areas near Al-Tayha village as he was returning to Manbij city, coming from one of the smuggling lines.
